At bestship were seeking in Hamburg (Germany) a versatile and solution-driven Software Developer & Data this role youll drive the further development of our in-house platform streamlining maritime processes and enabling seamless collaboration with internal and external stakeholders shaping the digital backbone of our shipping operations.

• Develop maintain and optimize software solutions based on and C#.
• Design implement and maintain web applications using HTML JavaScript and CSS.
• Leverage and administer Microsoft Azure services to support cloud applications.
• Ensure software quality through unit testing code reviews and documentation.
• Contribute to the development of decentralized application architectures and microservices.
• Build manage and optimize databases with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Design and implement data models reporting solutions and analytics pipelines.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines ensuring data quality and availability
• Optimize existing solutions with a focus on performance security and scalability.
• Apply project management principles to efficiently manage development tasks.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to analyze requirements and deliver tailored solutions.

• Degree in (Business) Informatics Computer Science Software Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Several years of experience in C# development.
• Solid knowledge of modern web technologies (HTML JavaScript CSS).
• Strong experience in developing and administering Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure (e.g. App Services Cloud Storage Azure SQL).
• Proficiency in data modeling reporting and analytics (Power BI experience a plus).
• Understanding of decentralized architectures and microservices.
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum / Kanban).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices Continuous Integration / Deployment (CI / CD).
• Familiarity with API development (REST OAuth) is an advantage.
• Experience with version control systems (Git Azure DevOps).
• Independent structured and analytical way of working.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Good command of written and spoken English (German language skills are a plus).
