A university hospital in Munich seeks a candidate for a PhD/Postdoc position in Cancer Genomics and Oncogenic Signaling. The role involves genomic technology development, working with experimental design, and engaging in cancer research. Applicants should have a solid foundation in molecular biology techniques and experience in data analysis and scientific writing. This position offers a temporary contract with the opportunity to work in a vibrant and interdisciplinary environment.

Full- or part-time | temporary (12 month) | Institute of Molecular Oncology and Functional Genomics
Our research is focused on gene discovery, functional gene annotation and signaling in cancer. We study biological processes, such as malignant transformation, tumour evolution, metastasis or drug response and resistance. We develop and deploy genetic technologies and bioinformatics methods for high-throughput applications, such as genome-scale screening approaches using CRISPR or transposon systems. We are also running a sequencing facility and conduct translational studies using human samples or genetically engineered model organisms. Multidisciplinary teams of cancer biologists, mouse modelers, clinicians, molecular geneticists, sequencing experts and bioinformaticians are working closely together in a highly creative environment.
