Responsibilities

• Manage the development of wind and solar projects, with a focus on land securing, permitting and connection activities
• Leading and managing the Project Development team
• Directing and preparing power project licensing documents and supporting environmental technical studies
• Management of tender preparation and familiarity of tendering process
• Coordinate with internal Technical, Financial, and Legal teams and other stakeholders to implement and accelerate all project related work
• Ongoing coordination with regional transmission organizations, regulated utilities, commercial project developers, ministries, administration, environmental departments, financers, local municipalities, and suppliers
• Monitoring and reporting relevant regulation changes and new regulation
• Effectively manage sub-contractors to ensure timely delivery of works and value for money
• Communicate progress to management overseas

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Law – a must, MBA/M.Sc. – an advantage
• 8-10 years of relevant experience
• Previous experience within the renewables sector or in project development
• Demonstrated and proven success in leading teams and coordinating work assignments in accordance with project timelines - a must
• Work in parallel on several project developments
• Excellent communication skills
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office software. Ability to create and maintain information database, spreadsheets, Gantt charts, presentations, and text documents.
• Deep understanding of relevant regulations
• Ability to review and understand engineering drawings
• Demonstrated success in leading teams and coordinating work assignments in accordance with project timelines - a must
• Ability to prioritize and organize work in order to meet project deadlines
• Excellent negotiation skills
• High level of professionalism and ethical standards
• Willingness to travel frequently within the country and abroad, occasionally outside normal working hours
