Overview

Safety, Health and Wellbeing Lead (m,f,d)

Location: Düsseldorf

As a central department, the Safety, Health and Wellbeing Department supports managers, works councils and employees in the implementation of occupational health and safety-relevant legal requirements, as well as those of Vodafone Group. The thematic focus is on safety organization, ergonomics at the workplace, coordination of psychological risk assessment, and the management of supplier services. The support includes the VGSG headquarters in Düsseldorf, and all other locations where VOIS employees perform their work activities.

Responsibilities

• As a safety, health and wellbeing lead, develop and implement concepts to ensure and continuously improve compliance with statutory occupational health and safety guidelines, Vodafone and VOIS SHW guidelines, and advise managers on occupational safety issues.
• Prepare risk assessments and other relevant occupational health and safety documents; develop practical solutions.
• Support all business areas and manage external occupational safety and health specialists.
• Based on risk assessments, create information and training material or adapt it to the existing framework and conduct training independently.
• Carry out risk assessments and support SHW for all business areas.
• Develop concepts, investigate incidents and drive continuous improvement of SHW.
• Manage external specialists for occupational safety and implement training courses.

• Internal customers (all business units, HR partners, company doctors, works councils)
• External partners (ASUC, BAD)
• High-risk suppliers and authorities
• Responsible, proactive, structured, self-reliant and team-oriented way of working

What sets you apart / Qualifications

• Successfully completed studies in safety engineering. Several years of professional experience in an occupational safety specialist role.
• Sound knowledge of preventive fire protection (training as a fire protection officer).
• Management systems knowledge (ISO 45001) is an advantage; NEBOSH General Certificate and internal auditor courses are an advantage.
• Confident in using common MS Office applications; good communication and presentation skills.
• Teamwork; experience with continuous improvement (PDCA) and non-conformity management.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to recognize complex relationships; clear, unambiguous communication.
• Good knowledge of German and English.
