Overview

Take a leading role in developing advanced embedded software for humanoid robots by applying your deep technical knowledge through direct, hands-on involvement in coding, prototyping, and real-world system integration. This position is ideal if you are eager to not only design solutions but also actively participate in bringing them to life, working side by side with engineers to solve challenges and drive innovation in robotics.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement embedded software solutions to enable precise and reliable control of humanoid robot functionalities, such as motor control, data sensing and fusion, power management, and security
  • Develop and maintain embedded software for applications like motor control, DC/DC converters, and battery management systems, utilizing microcontrollers such as AURIX or similar technologies
  • Contribute to the development of innovative reference designs specifically designed for humanoid robot applications, focusing on optimizing performance, power efficiency, and scalability
  • Analyze and prototype new technologies, including the creation of detailed technical documentation
  • Collaborate with internal and external expert networks to identify optimal system-level solutions using Infineon products
  • Leverage your logical thinking skills to strike the right balance between client requirements and developer needs
Your Profile

As a Principal System Application Engineer Embedded Software, you set ambitious goals and you push ideas to their full implementation and application. You are also able to quickly establish successful cooperation.

You are best equipped for these tasks if you have:

  • A degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in C programming, with C++ experience being a plus
  • Experience in microcontroller and device driver programming, ideally with familiarity in AURIX
  • Knowledge of Model-Based Software Design, particularly with Matlab/Simulink
  • Experience in motor control or DC/DC control, as well as radar or security applications
  • Practical experience with tools such as Tasking, Gnu, Lauterbach, SVN, GIT, and Oscilloscope, as well as similar tools
  • Ability to understand schematics and layout
  • Fluency in English
  • A strong hands-on approach and problem-solving mindset
