Overview

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We keep the cloud running, supporting data centers and all servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure continual access to customer innovations. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables affecting the supply chain, and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing extensive capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key job responsibilities

• Adhere to security and safety best practices in the data center.
• Installation and testing of copper and Fiber Optic cabling.
• Basic build and troubleshooting of network devices.
• Managing inventory of related materials.
• Creating/attaching labels and barcodes.
• Adhering to defined escalation processes and standard operating procedures.

A day in the life

Physical requirements:

• This position has a physical component and may require working in cramped spaces or elevated locations.
• Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations).
• Regularly work at heights and from ladders.
• Work in noisy areas with hotter and colder temperatures than standard office environments.
