A financial regulatory authority in Germany seeks a seasoned professional to join its Authorisation Division. This role involves assessing applications for crypto-asset service providers and monitoring regulatory developments within the financial sector. The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in finance or law and at least 5 years of related experience, with proficiency in French and English. The successful applicant will be a member of the Authorisation Division of the CSSF’s “Innovation, Payments, Market Infrastructures and Governance” department. As a member of the Authorisation Division, you will be part of the team in charge of (i) analysing applications for authorisation of crypto-asset service providers, issuers of certain types of crypto-assets, payment institutions and electronic money institutions, but also, (ii) questions relating to the interpretation of regulatory texts applicable to payment and electronic money services as well as to certain services linked to crypto-assets and (iii) monitoring future regulatory developments in these areas.
The successful candidate (m/f) will be hired as public employee (“employé de l’Etat”) under a permanent contract. If the candidate meets the required conditions, s/he will be asked to apply for admission to the status of civil servant (“fonctionnaire de l’Etat”).
Prior to the conclusion of the contract, the candidate must submit an extract from the criminal record (bulletin n°3), dated less than 2 months, in order to prove their conduct and integrity.
