Position Profile :

The Warehouse Assistant will oversee and execute all aspects of receiving, storing, and distributing materials. This role requires a proactive approach to warehouse management, ensuring operational efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities / Duties :

• Lead the picking and fulfillment of product orders with precision and efficiency, ensuring timely delivery.
• Conduct comprehensive quality control checks for all outgoing orders, maintaining high standards of accuracy.
• Oversee the packing process for orders that pass quality assurance, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
• Manage shipping operations using automated systems (Purolator), optimizing logistics for cost-effectiveness and speed.
• Supervise the receipt and inspection of all inbound products from suppliers, completing detailed receiving reports.
• Implement effective inventory management practices, including regular physical counts and reconciliation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any warehouse-related issues promptly, collaborating with team members and management.
• Provide exceptional customer service support, addressing inquiries and issues as needed.
• Serve as a mentor and backup for warehouse staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Create and manage transportation claims for discrepancies or damages during shipping, ensuring timely resolution.
• Report any accidents or incidents in the warehouse promptly, following company protocols and procedures.
• Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing priorities and tasks within a dynamic work environment.
• Be available for inventory counts, including peak periods, and willing to work overtime as needed.
• Conduct oneself in a manner always befitting a Konica Minolta employee, representing the company’s values and standards.
• Develop and execute a personal development plan in collaboration with management to enhance skills and career growth.

Other Duties / Projects :

• Engage in special projects as assigned, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating lift and reach trucks; certification preferred.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs safely.
• Proficient in basic computer operations and inventory management systems.
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving protocols.
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Exceptional hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to housekeeping guidelines.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and priorities within the warehouse environment.

This role is primarily conducted indoors in a warehouse setting,requiring physical activity, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Flexibility in adapting to varying tasks and responsibilities is essential.

Schedule and Hours :

• The position has three different shifts :
• Shift 1 : 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM
• Shift 2 : 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM
• Shift 3 : 9 : 30 AM to 6 : 00 PM
• Must be available for inventory counts and peak periods, with a willingness to work overtime as required. Vacation Blackout periods exist in this role.
