Job Description

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and efficient Warehouse Associate to join our team in Nanaimo, Canada. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Pick, pack, and ship customer orders with a high level of accuracy
  • Receive, count, and verify incoming vendor materials and customer returns
  • Load and unload trucks using forklifts and other material handling equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient warehouse operations
  • Identify and report any inventory discrepancies or damaged materials
  • Assist in servicing customers at the counter when needed
  • Follow all health and safety regulations while performing job duties
  • Complete necessary documentation for shipments, including those requiring special handling
  • Participate in regular inventory counts and audits
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse processes
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience
  • Outstanding attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast‑paced environment
  • Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment (training provided)
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse management software
  • Intermediate math skills for inventory calculations and order processing
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Basic knowledge of safety procedures in a warehouse setting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with or knowledge of plumbing and building products
  • Familiarity with M3, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Previous experience in a customer‑facing role
