Warehouse Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Manager to lead and optimize our warehouse operations in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment. The ideal candidate will have cross‑docking experience with specialty in de‑stuffing, sufferance, import and export operations and be prepared to address urgent operational needs as a 24/7 on‑call management position.
Key Responsibilities
- Inbound Operations: Oversee timely and accurate de‑stuffing (unloading) of containers; ensure proper handling, inspection, and documentation of incoming freight; stage and scan goods for cross‑docking or storage.
- Cross‑Docking Operations: Manage quick turnaround of freight from inbound to outbound without long‑term storage; optimize dock door utilization and loading schedules; implement strategies to maximize efficiency and minimize freight handling and transfer times to meet service‑level agreements.
- Outbound Logistics: Coordinate outbound loads, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery accuracy; communicate with carriers, dispatchers, and transportation teams to avoid delays; ensure accurate load planning and documentation (BOLs, packing lists, shipping labels).
- Staff Supervision & Team Management: Lead, train, and schedule a team of warehouse employees; conduct daily briefings, assign tasks, and monitor productivity and safety compliance; promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Health, Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols for handling containers, dock operations, and equipment usage; ensure compliance with company policies; conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Inventory & Systems Management: Maintain inventory accuracy and conduct cycle counts; use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for real‑time inventory and shipment tracking; ensure proper labeling, scanning, and traceability of freight through all stages.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track KPIs including on‑time unload/load rates, labor efficiency, damage rates, and safety incidents; generate daily and weekly reports for senior management; identify operational inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience managing a cross‑docking warehouse.
- Proficiency with WMS/TMS platforms and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with RF scanners, dock scheduling systems, and inventory control methods.
- Proven leadership ability with a talent for motivating diverse teams.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Forklift license is required.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment, including prolonged standing, lifting heavy objects, and exposure to various weather conditions.
- Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor settings.
- Comfortable working flexible hours or shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends when needed.
- Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts.

Location: Brampton, ON
Salary: $47,280.85 – $90,298.31 per year
Terms of Employment: Full time
