Job summary
A family-owned electrical distributor in Edmonton, Canada, seeks a Material Handler for its Distribution Center. This full-time position includes responsibilities for shipping, receiving, and maintaining a clean warehouse environment. Ideal candidates will have previous warehouse experience, be able to lift 50 lbs, and demonstrate teamwork and respect. The role offers a Monday-to-Friday schedule with no weekend shifts, along with various employee benefits such as health and dental coverage, annual profit-sharing, and personal growth opportunities.

- Previous warehouse experience in a similar role is an asset.
- Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is an asset.
- Computer literacy with the ability to learn new software programs.
- Basic mathematical skills with the ability to calculate simple equations mentally.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand/move for 6+ hours per day.
- Ability to be inclusive, collaborative, and respectful.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for shipping, receiving, and moving products safely and efficiently.
- Generates pick tickets, gathers materials, and operates necessary equipment.
- Packs, weighs, and labels shipments, prepares bills of lading.
- Unloads, inspects, and verifies stock against manifests.
- Conducts cycle counts and ensures FIFO stock rotation.
- Keeps the warehouse clean and organized, reports hazards.
- Assists sales with priority orders and customer inquiries.
