A Canadian research institution is seeking a part-time Research Assistant/Technician to support projects aimed at improving maternal and youth mental health outcomes. The successful candidate will work closely with the principal investigator to plan and execute qualitative research activities, including data collection and manuscript writing. A Master's degree and experience in qualitative research are preferred. This role offers a competitive hourly rate in Vancouver.

Work Performed
Plan and perform research tasks, including scoping reviews, focus groups, and interviews, ensuring high-quality data collection and analysis.
Troubleshoot issues that arise during study implementation and offer solutions.
Assist research leads and the team with study design, protocol development, and methodological approaches.
Collect, record, analyze, and interpret qualitative research data.
Coordinate with the research team and collaborators.
Write and present study results at team meetings; assist with grant writing, research reporting, manuscripts writing, and presentation preparation as needed.
Provide training and guidance to undergraduate students or junior research staff on research procedures.
Research, coordinate, and perform data collection for multiple ongoing mental health projects.
Ensure compliance with ethical and procedural guidelines, including confidentiality and informed consent.
Oversee and guide the work of junior research staff as needed.
Participate in any additional related duties as required by the department.

Experience with research software and tools for qualitative data analysis (e.g. NVivo) is preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presenting research findings.
Ability to work independently under general supervision and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
