We are currently seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our team in Cambridge, ON.

This role supports Field Services projects by ensuring compliance with BWXT's quality program and performing independent quality inspections. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in technically demanding environments, including radiological and confined spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality control inspections in accordance with project procedures and the ASME Code.

  • Monitor processes via Manufacturing Inspection & Test Plans (MITPs).

  • Conduct material receipt and in-process inspections.

  • Complete and review Work Packages/History Dockets.

  • Assist with procedure and MITP reviews.

  • Perform NDE duties where applicable.

  • Carry out vendor source inspections as required.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary diploma in NDE/Quality Technology or related field.

  • 3+years of relevant industry experience.

  • CGSB Level II Certification in Liquid Penetrant (PT) is a definite asset .

  • Additional CGSB Level II or CWB certifications are assets.

  • Strong knowledge of NDE methods and the ASME Code.

  • Comfortable with extensive travel (approx. 70%) and working irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.

  • Comfortable working in confined space situations.
  • Comfortable working in a radiologicalenvironment with required personal protective equipment.

Security Clearance:

This role requires the successful candidate to complete the security clearance process. The security clearance process is conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) and may take up to 12 months to complete.

The base salary range for this position in [[Ontario]]at the start of employment is expected to be between $[[64,000]] and $[[90,000]] per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
