Value Stream Manager – Avionics & EWIS- CANADA

Location: Remote in CANADA, with relocation to our new HQ in the next 9-12 months

Note: This position opening is in Canada and will initially be fully remote.

EOS Aircraft, Inc. is an innovative aviation company dedicated to developing a new electric regional airplane that represents the next leap in sustainable aviation technology. We are on a journey to make air travel more sustainable and accessible, and we're looking for a Value Stream Manager to lead our efforts in this exciting and challenging endeavor.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director, Strategic Sourcing, the Value Stream Manager will have end-to-end responsibility of supply, from source selection to supply assurance for final assembly and aftermarket. Working in tandem with other value stream managers, the Value Stream Manager is the orchestrator of all that assures supply of products and services while balancing customer needs and EOS’s financial performance. The Value Stream Manager will play a key role in structuring resiliency, agility and sustainability in his/her value stream and aligning closely with our mission to revolutionize the aviation industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategy Development: Working with key stakeholders in Engineering, among others, formulate and implement the Value Stream’s comprehensive sourcing strategy that supports the program’s and company’s objectives, delivering on cost, on quality and on time to the program objectives.
  2. Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts to secure the best terms for enduring and fruitful relationships with key suppliers, ensuring high standards of quality and reliability while safeguarding EOS’s interests.
  3. Procurement and Sourcing: Oversee and manage the total acquisition activities and associated costs of the Value Stream’s materials and services, ensuring they meet our technical specifications and sustainability criteria, and are delivered on time and within budget.
  4. Logistics and Inventory Management: Contribute ideas, solutions and improvements to assure optimal levels of inventory are achieved, and logistics costs managed efficiently.
  5. Supply Assurance: Contributing inputs into the Leader’s standard work, define and manage short and longer term supply assurance processes and procedures to meet and maintain established rates and aftermarket fulfilment targets.
  6. Risk Management: Leveraging internal processes, market intel and supplier relationships, identify and mitigate risks within the Value Stream and across the supply chain, including supplier risks, logistical challenges, and market fluctuations.
  7. Sustainability Initiatives: Champion sustainability within the supply chain, seeking opportunities to reduce the environmental impact of our operations and promote ethical sourcing practices.
  8. Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop the Value Stream team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain management, in fast-paced aerospace environments, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  2. Critical Thinking: Strong critical thinking and execution skills, with a proven ability to develop and implement effective supply chain strategies and solutions.
  3. Negotiation and Relationship Management: Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  4. Operational Expertise: Deep understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and risk management.
  5. New Product Introduction: Hands-on experience of NPI in a supply chain context for high growth, high complexity programs, with a history of solid cross functional collaboration and a customer centric mindset, both with external and internal customers.
  6. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  7. Sustainability Focus: Commitment to sustainability and experience in implementing sustainable supply chain practices.
  8. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Engineering.
