Position Title: Strategic Sourcing Specialist
Status: Full-Time Admin
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Faculty/Department: Financial Services / Purchasing Services
Campus/Location: North Campus; Hybrid – on site 4 days per week
Minimum Starting Salary: $95,579; starting salaries are determined based on qualifications and years of related experience.
The Strategic Sourcing Specialist plays a critical role in managing end-to-end procurement and sourcing activities for Humber College. Reporting to the Associate Director, Purchasing, this position is responsible for leading complex RFx processes, negotiating and managing strategic contracts, and ensuring compliance with the Broader Public Sector (BPS) Procurement Directive, trade agreements, and College policies. The role provides expert guidance to internal stakeholders on sourcing strategies, risk mitigation, and contract governance, including the development and monitoring of SLAs, KPIs, and vendor performance frameworks. Acting as a trusted advisor, the Specialist proactively builds supplier relationships, consolidates spend to leverage savings, and supports strategic planning and forecasting of procurement activities. This position requires strong analytical, negotiation, and project management skills to deliver transparent, fair, and value-driven outcomes that align with institutional priorities and uphold the highest standards of integrity and compliance.

The successful candidate will hold a general university degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Public Administration. In addition, a professional procurement designation such as Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (NISCL-CSCP), Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB), or Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) strongly preferred.
