Singleton Urquhart Reynolds Vogel LLP is looking for one articling student to join our Toronto office immediately. Our Toronto practice is focused on construction law with some insurance law and commercial litigation. Where you Start: Our students start their careers with an in-depth orientation program focused on legal skills and firm integration. We aim to provide each of our students with the tools necessary to build a career in law, and to make connections with the colleagues, clients, and staff with whom we all work.

Training and Continued Legal Education: We support our students\' and lawyers\' continued appetite for learning and knowledge with the SR Institute, a Law Society-accredited, in-house curriculum of continued legal education. Our practice groups meet regularly to discuss updates in law, business development and practice issues. Our students meet one-on-one regularly with mentors, both partner and associate, who will ensure students are receiving the training they need.

Assignments: With no fixed rotation schedule, we provide each of our students with a broad-based and highly personalized experience. Lawyers assign work directly to students, providing an excellent opportunity to work with and learn from experts in the field.

Feedback: Every lawyer who works with a student is encouraged to give constructive feedback as work is produced, and students are encouraged to ask for that feedback. We also have a formal review process through which we collect and deliver feedback from each lawyer with whom a student has worked, and work with students to develop professional development goals and identify resources to support those goals.

Mentorship: Every student is assigned both a partner and an associate who will each, individually, provide that student with formal mentorship. Given our structure and environment, informal mentoring relationships are inevitably formed, and we encourage our students to take advantage of all mentorship opportunities.

Articled students\' salaries and benefits are competitive with firms in downtown Toronto ($98,800 annually/prorated).
