IT Workstation Technician - SCCM
Job summary
A leading IT consulting and services firm is seeking an IT Workstation Technician - SCCM to support a major auto manufacturer in Cambridge, ON. The ideal candidate will work on-site four days a week with one day remote. Responsibilities include ensuring a secure IT environment and providing expert support. Candidates should have strong experience with PowerShell and SCCM, as well as excellent communication skills. The role offers an hourly rate of $30-50 based on experience, along with opportunities for long-term renewal.
Qualifications
- Junior and intermediate candidates are welcome, provided they have relevant experience.
- Ability to work independently with a diplomatic approach when dealing with customers.
- Strong written and spoken English skills required.
Responsibilities
- Support the enterprise in building a more secure and stable IT environment.
- Serve as a technical contact for clients IT Workstation activities.
- Provide emergency and approved after-hours/weekend support as needed.

We are currently looking for a IT Workstation Technician - SCCM for our worldwide IT consulting and services firm that is working with a major auto manufacturer on a long term project.
Location: Hybrid - 4 days onsite in Cambridge, ON, 1 day remote
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: 12 months + long term renewals afterwards, could be multi-year
Required Start Date: ASAP
Total Hours Approved Per Role: 40h/week
Rate/Salary: $30-50/hr C2C depending on experience

Job Description:
The individual will support the enterprise in building a more secure and stable IT environment. This team member will serve as a technical contact for clients IT Workstation activities. Flexibility and diplomacy are key to success in this role. Junior and intermediate candidates are welcome, provided they have relevant experience.
Desired Technical Experience:
- PowerShell scripting
- SCCM and/or Intune administration
- Windows GPO, Active Directory, and Windows security
- Hardware troubleshooting
- Software troubleshooting
Soft Skills:
- Full system life cycle experience

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
