About Our Team

Lenovo's Cloud Service Provider Group (CSP) is seeking an Electrical Engineer for server product development. At Lenovo, we pride ourselves on delivering end-to-end solutions tailored to meet even the most unique customer demands.

Our CSP solutions are conceptualized, developed, and deployed worldwide, all within our in-house expertise.

Location: This position is based in Morrisville, NC.

What You'll Do

1. Assist System Lead, Senior EE engineer to do design feasibility study and complete the design concept proposal
2. Design hardware solutions for the platform and system
3. Work with other hardware engineers or outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions
4. Conduct feasibility studies, design margin, validation analyses, and empirical testing on the designs
5. This role would apply developed subject matter knowledge to design, analyze, develop, modify, and evaluate the key components of the platform, integrate sub-systems and firmware and hardware.
6. Ensure integrated circuitry based on established engineering principles and in accordance with development technology practices and guidelines
7. Cooperate with internal peer functions and outsourced design partners to develop and implement parameters and test plans for the designs, including validation of hardware circuit quality/ robustness; mechanical tolerances/ assembly interference, form/fit/function, shock and vibration; electromagnetic interference; safety; reliability; thermal generation; and system power measurements and expected distribution
8. Evaluate reliability of materials, properties, designs, and techniques used from prototype fabrication to production
9. Execute hardware-related validation, bug tracking, and troubleshooting

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Server experience or computer architecture experience
• 7+ years of experience
