Job summary
A fitness facility is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join their team. Responsibilities include welcoming guests, answering phone calls, maintaining the front desk and workout areas, and managing memberships. Candidates should have strong customer service skills, basic math abilities, and familiarity with computers. The position offers flexible hours, ranging from 8 to 20 hours per week, with compensation between $19.00 and $22.00 per hour.

Responsibilities
- Welcome members and guests, and provide tours.
- Answer phone calls and take appropriate actions.
- Maintain cleanliness of front desk and workout areas.
- Enter memberships and sell retail items.
- Manage inventory and document tracking.
Skills
We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, hard‑working individual who can take on a variety of tasks in our fitness facility. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are crucial. Communication is essential, verbally, non‑verbally and in writing. Workday is typically a solo shift but we encourage a supportive team atmosphere that helps each other and continually builds everyone up. Positivity and inclusivity are essential elements.
- Welcome everyone who enters the gym and tour and discuss membership types with members and guests.
- Answer phone calls and take appropriate actions.
- Make smoothies, attend to front‑desk duties, and perform light laundry.
- Maintain front desk, pro shop, restrooms and workout areas.
- Enter memberships and sell a variety of retail items using the computer system.
- Manage inventory and document tracking.
- Basic math skills.
- Computer skills and ability to learn new programs.
- Retail cash handling experience an asset.
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
This is a flexible position ranging from 8 to 20 hours per week with the ability to pick up some weekend shifts and vacation/sick coverage.
Compensation: $19.00 – $22.00 per hour.
