Under the general direction of the Senior Project Engineer, the Wastewater Maintenance Engineer provides professional engineering, operational project management, and administrative services for the Wastewater Services Maintenance Branch, and engineering support of other branches within the Wastewater Services Division.
The Wastewater Maintenance Engineer provides engineering support relating to maintenance activities associated with the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the equipment and facilities required for the City of Winnipeg’s Land Drainage, Flood Protection, Sewage Collection, and Wastewater Treatment operations.
The incumbent will provide technical/engineering support to the Supervisors, Maintenance Planners, Senior Technologists, Lead Tradespersons, Forepersons and other staff to maintain and improve the Wastewater systems maintenance and will represent the Division in Departmental projects.
