Our client is a technology-driven and specialist industrial services provider offering a range of engineering solutions and technical services to a wide variety of industries. Their Southampton location is recruiting for the position of a Maintenance Engineer.
Working on, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of electrical and mechanical industrial rotating equipment including but not limited to motors, pumps, and gearboxes on customer sites.
Attending customer sites to carry out planned and reactive maintenance. Workshop duties also include repairs to all types of industrial equipment including AC and DC motors, motorized gearboxes, gearboxes, pumps, fan units, and other associated rotating equipment.
You will have UK employment history experience fault finding, identifying, and rectifying defects and worn/damaged components on motorized gearboxes, gearboxes, pumps, fan units, and other associated rotating equipment.
Have at least basic electrical testing capability to assess the electrical condition of AC & DC components.
The activities of the role are essentially the strip-down, fault finding, remedial repair, and re-assembly of equipment such as:
To contribute to the team, we seek flexibility regarding working hours in a demanding and busy 24/7 service environment. A call-out rota is applied (details discussed upon a successful interview).
Mechanical and electronically skilled technicians, ideally NVQ level 3 or similar certified, are preferred. You should be comfortable working on-site in addition to the workshop when required. Site working experience is a distinct advantage, and qualifications such as CCNSG passport are preferable.
