Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Maintenance Juice Mechanic role in Vancouver, WA. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products. Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, rebuild, and repair juice plant processing equipment, including filter systems, decanters, evaporators, positive displacement pumps, and dynamic pumps.
- Rebuild and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps and valves.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Use flow charts and mechanical schematics to understand and maintain complex juice processing systems.
- Inspect and replace gaskets, valves, food-grade piping, and other components in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Follow all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout and confined space procedures.
- Accurately log maintenance activities on daily job time sheets.
- Collaborate with operations and production teams to identify and resolve equipment issues.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a food or beverage processing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, gearboxes, and pumps.
- Proficient in using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, and feeler gauges to check mechanical tolerances.
- Ability to read blueprints, flow charts, and mechanical schematics.
- Capable of lifting up to 50+ lbs and working in hot, humid, or wet environments.
- Enthusiastic about understanding and improving technical and mechanical systems.
Additional Qualifications
- Technical certification or diploma in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Experience with TIG welding stainless steel sanitary piping is a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with sanitary design standards, FDA, GMP, and HACCP guidelines.
