Position Profile

We are currently recruiting for an Aircraft Maintenance Technician- Licensed with experience in Dash 8 / Q 400 / Twin Otter / CL to join our team in Calgary, AB. This role is responsible for checking and maintaining the condition of aircraft and engine, performing repairs, replacements and adjustments in accordance with approved maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Qualified to perform systems installation
  • Follow the direction of the assigned lead and communicate verbally or in printed form as required
  • Interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, system schematics, engineering orders, test documents, and manufacturer’s installation manuals
  • Understand other aircraft systems (e.g., hydraulic, flight controls and major components)
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems and equipment, including powerplant, flight control, hydraulic, landing gear and electrical systems
  • Perform system checks and inspections to ensure systems comply with industry and safety standards
  • Keep accurate records of all work performed and maintain inventory of tools and equipment
  • Maintain a clean work area and report safety concerns; take action or report unsafe conditions promptly
  • Ensure accuracy and traceability of parts removed or installed on aircraft
  • Perform other work as assigned and be willing to work shift work
  • Properly utilize maintenance test equipment and hand tools for installations and repairs
  • Safely operate ground support equipment (e.g., power carts, lifts when trained) as required
Education & Experience
  • 5+ years’ experience working on the Dash 8, Twin Otter, or CL
  • Hold current AME “M” Transport Canada license
  • Aircraft type rating would be an asset
  • ACA eligibility would be an asset
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Internet
  • Good oral and written communication skills
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work Monday – Friday 0600-1430
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to acquire a Transport Canada issued Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
