A regional health authority in Winnipeg is seeking a Unit Clerk to provide administrative support in a fast-paced healthcare setting. The candidate will be responsible for receiving patients, managing documentation, transcribing orders, and scheduling. Successful completion of a recognized Unit Clerk training program and a strong command of the English language are required. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to enhancing health services in the community.
Formación
Previous related work experience preferred.
Current hospital-based information systems/programs preferred.
Responsabilidades
Receive patients and ensure proper documentation.
Act as a communication link for the unit and answer calls.
Transcribe physicians’ orders and schedule appointments.
Conocimientos
Typing/keyboarding skills minimum 40 wpm
Excellent command of the English language
Ability to organize and manage time
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to operate information technology equipment
Educación
Complete high school education, Manitoba standards
Successful completion of a recognized Unit Clerk training program
Medical terminology (75% pass mark)
