Horticulture Trainer – GoMaterials Horticulture School Coordinator

Part-time. Approximately 40–50 hours over 2–3 weeks.

We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality plant materials efficiently and reliably, ensuring our clients can focus on creating beautiful landscapes.

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Horticulture Trainer to deliver our specialized Horticulture School program to our team. This program covers essential industry topics, including:

• Plant naming conventions
• Sizing standards
• Packaging methods
• Plant forms and categories
• Quality grading
• Shipping procedures

The trainer will guide new team members through the curriculum, reinforce key concepts, administer assessments, and support hands-on learning experiences.

• Deliver structured training sessions in an engaging and practical manner
• Facilitate discussions and hands-on activities to reinforce learning
• Administer and evaluate exams to assess trainee comprehension
• Provide mentorship and support to trainees throughout the program

• Background in horticulture or green industry experience
• Passion for teaching and mentoring new team members
• Ability to deliver structured training confidently and engagingly
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Availability to work part-time during standard business hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
• Commitment of approximately 40–50 hours over 2–3 weeks, with an estimated 8–9 sessions annually
