Job summary

A health services organization is seeking a Human Resources Consultant to manage labor relations and provide guidance on collective agreements. The role involves advising departments, facilitating grievance processes, leading investigations, and representing the organization at Collective Bargaining. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field and at least two years of HR experience in a unionized setting. Effective communication and negotiation skills are essential. This position is temporary, full-time with potential extension.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administrative/Commerce with a specialization in Labour Relations/Human Resource Management is required.
  • CPHR certification is an asset.
  • Minimum of two years of human resources experience in a unionized environment is required.
  • Experience in the interpretation and administration of collective agreements.
  • Experience leading investigations and facilitating conflict resolution sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with programs/departments on labor management and provide advice.
  • Facilitate the internal grievance process and negotiate dispute resolutions.
  • Lead workplace investigations and recommend disciplinary action.
  • Represent the Employer at Collective Bargaining.
