A pioneering ag tech company in Canada seeks a Junior Automations Engineer to contribute to the commercialization of their innovative smart farming appliance. This role involves building, testing, and launching prototypes, focusing on embedded systems and software development. Ideal candidates will have a recent B.Eng in Computer Engineering, experience with automation and microcontrollers, and a passion for creating sustainable food systems. Join a dynamic team committed to redefining agriculture while driving meaningful environmental impact.
Aera is an ag tech company on a mission to transform how the world grows and consumes food. That’s why we built Victory—the world’s first smart farming appliance that grows affordable, fresh, and sustainable produce year-round.
About the size of a fridge, our patent-pending appliance uses cutting-edge aeroponic technology, automation, and AI to deliver more yield and variety than ever thought possible in a Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) system. From root vegetables to leafy greens, Victory provides effortless daily harvests—and over 100 pounds of produce each month—with no food miles, no chemicals, and no waste.
We’re reimagining a world with a farming appliance in every kitchen—not just as a vision, but as a practical path to restoring resilience in how we grow and consume what we eat.
As our Junior Automations Engineer, you’ll help take Victory from customer beta to commercialization. This hands‑on, interdisciplinary role spans electrical, embedded, and software systems—and is an opportunity to be at the forefront of a globally reimagined food system.
