Job Description

Our client is seeking a Marketing Manager in Canada. The ideal candidate is not just a generalist but possesses a strong understanding of the technical space, capable of building and executing marketing programs that deliver tangible results. They should be able to work strategically, focusing on big-picture planning, as well as hands-on, executing campaigns, creating content, and collaborating with sales. The candidate should have a proactive attitude, be reasonably detail-oriented, and capable of managing and empowering a team of approximately three members, while also contributing as an individual contributor.

Qualifications

1. Must reside in Canada
2. Technical marketing knowledge – Understanding of open-source ecosystems, Linux, and infrastructure-related marketing. Not an engineer, but able to translate technical value into clear, compelling messaging for our audience.
3. Sales & marketing alignment – Experience in driving lead generation, demand generation, and campaign execution to support revenue goals.
4. Campaign execution – Ability to structure, launch, and optimize technical marketing campaigns aligned with business priorities.
5. Content & messaging expertise – Skilled in positioning technical products and services effectively for engineering and IT leadership audiences.
6. Process & structure – Capable of organizing marketing workflows, meeting deadlines, and ensuring efficient operation of the marketing function.
