A leading visual effects studio in Vancouver seeks a Character FX Technical Director to create set-ups and animate character features like hair and cloth. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of Maya and scripting languages. This role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $26.44 to $53.80 depending on experience and position, plus benefits like healthcare and tuition reimbursement.

- In-depth knowledge of relevant software including Maya, Linux, and UNIX.
- Scripting ability in MEL, Perl, and Python highly desirable.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience may be accepted.
Responsibilities
- Create set-ups, models, and animations for character features.
- Meet productivity and quota targets.
- Participate in writing utility scripts to streamline simulation development.
- Work efficiently as part of a team or independently.
