Accounting Technician: Month‑End, GL & Tax Prep
Job summary
A leading national accounting firm in Canada seeks an Accounting Technician to join their Assurance & Accounting team. This role involves assisting with audit, bookkeeping, and tax engagements, maintaining financial records, and collaborating with various teams. The ideal candidate will have an accounting certificate or degree, up to 2 years of experience, and knowledge of accounting principles. - Entry level to 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience preparing T4s and T5s and knowledge of personal and corporate tax is preferred.
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and processes is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Assist with compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping and tax engagements.
- Prepare and maintain government remittances/filings.
- Perform the month-end and quarter-end close process.
