Position Summary

Reporting to the Project Superintendent, the Site Surveyor will be responsible for recording, maintaining and managing survey field notes and records in accordance with corporate standard operating procedures. The Intermediate Surveyor will also be responsible for preparing survey data, project work records and safety documentation.

• Project Name: Mount Bracey Compressor Station
• Nearest City: Prince George, B.C (Camp Project)
• Shift: 14 Days on/7 Days off
• Travel pay: $400/shift
• Camp retention: $25/day
  
  
  

Core Accountabilities

• Record, maintain and manage survey field notes and records (in accordance with standard operating procedures)
• Prepare corporate documentation including survey data, project work records and safety documents
• Actively participate in corporate and client HSE Programs and corporate policies
• Develop and maintain strong client and colleague/corporate relations
• Maintain an accurate inventory record of all equipment and materials assigned
• Comfortable working in remote outdoor areas and who is physically fit
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma in Geomatics (or equivalent)
• 2 to 5 years of experience in the geomatics field
• Construction Survey Experience is an asset
  
  
  

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Developed analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret acorn and Isometric/GA and P&ID drawings
• Familiar with construction methods, techniques, and labour requirements and how they apply to industrial construction projects
• Comfortable working outdoors
• Exemplary professional verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proactively seeks and accomplishes tasks that lead to a safe, efficient, and productive work environment
• Ability to calculate complex piping off sets of varying degrees and angles
• Ability to lay out piles using coordinates provided
• Ability to lay out pile caps using IFC drawings and coordinates provided
• Knowledge to compare and understand local vs geodetic elevations and coordinates
  
  
  

Safety Tickets Required

• CSTS 2020 or Common Safety Orientation (CSO).
• Bear or Wildlife Awareness course
• WHIMIS 2015 (Strike can provide when onboarding)
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods – TDG (Strike can provide when onboarding)
