Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) from a certified institution.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Current Certificate of Qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain HVAC and Refrigeration equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with heating and air conditioning.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned apprentices.

Position Summary:

Ainsworth is currently seeking HVAC Technicians to join our growing team in Surrey/Vancouver, BC. The role involves assembling, installing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC and Refrigeration equipment, products, and systems.

Responsibilities:
  1. Represent Ainsworth professionally, courteously, and with excellent customer service on every call, acting as a proud ambassador for our company.
  2. Read, interpret, create, and maintain drawings and specifications.
  3. Install air conditioning, heating, and related equipment and components.
  4. Overhaul and service air conditioning and heating units and systems.
  5. Repair, replace, and adjust worn or broken parts on condensers, compressors, and water and vacuum pumps.
  6. Repair and adjust valves, piping connections, fittings, and couplings.
  7. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with heating and air conditioning units and systems.
  8. Install motors, thermostats, and humidistats.
  9. Instruct customers on proper care and maintenance of equipment.
  10. Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned apprentices.
  11. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of modern equipment and regulations.
  12. Interpret and enforce company policies and safety regulations.
  13. Perform all duties safely, in compliance with health, safety, environmental policies, and legislation.
  14. Follow the company's Quality System procedures.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  16. Provide support and backup for administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications:
  1. High School diploma or equivalent (GED) from a certified institution.
  2. Valid driver's license.
  3. Current Certificate of Qualification.
  4. Knowledge of tools, equipment, materials, and trade practices.
  5. Understanding of HVAC/R codes, standards, and regulations.
  6. Awareness of trade hazards and safety precautions.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  9. Outstanding customer service abilities.

The hourly wage range is $15-$55.
