We are currently seeking a Z/OS System Programming Engineer - Remote Canada Position to join our team in Calgary, Alberta (CA-AB), Canada (CA).

Day to Day / Job Function: Responsible for the design and maintenance of the operating environment that provides the technology, stability, and power to meet the Firm\'s z-platform computing requirements.

• 10+ years experience in zOS internals
• 10+ years experience in Strong Catalog management Knowledge and experience
• 10+ years of experience in trouble shooting skills
• 10+ years of experience with z/OS and ISV software installations
• 10+ year experience in testing skills (design tests to validate software functionality, robustness, performance)
• 10+ years of experience in HCD/Hardware knowledge, REXX experience
• 10+ years experience in zOSMF, rest APIs, Kafka, LinuxOne, ansibles, python and other new zos technologies is a plus
• Able to work in a stressed situation like production system outage
• Strong USS/OMVS skills
• Assembler skills for usermods maintenance and dump reading are desirable but not mandatory
• Weekend support and on-call rotation

• Self-motivated individual and a team player
• Outstanding researcher/investigator with outside the box line of thought
• Good verbal and written English communications skills
• At least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelors in Computer Science/IT related degree or equivalent work experience
