Sunflower Bank is seeking a dynamic, motivated individual for a full-time Credit Underwriter III position. This role involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting financial and credit data to evaluate the creditworthiness of our customers, especially focusing on complex credit relationships. The incumbent will support Commercial Bankers in managing new and existing loan relationships, emphasizing high credit quality and risk minimization.

The salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $180,000, depending on experience, skills, knowledge, and location.

1. Review and analyze financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports to assess borrower and guarantor creditworthiness. Determine when additional investigation is needed and contact relevant sources.
2. Prepare detailed financial and analytical reports, including cash flow analyses and trend evaluations.
3. Research industry and market information relevant to clients’ businesses.
4. Draft summaries of analyses for new and existing loans, focusing on cash flow, collateral, and repayment sources, assessing strengths and weaknesses.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or related field; or a minimum of 10+ years in similar disciplines without a degree.
• At least 7 years of experience in credit analysis or portfolio management within a commercial lending environment.
• Expertise in commercial real estate, industrial lending, and SBA lending underwriting.
