A well-established automation firm in Alberta is seeking a developer to create and maintain machine vision applications. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Engineering and 3–5 years of experience in Windows application development using C# and WPF. Responsibilities include designing algorithms for quality inspection and providing technical support for industrial equipment. - Develop and maintain custom machine vision and GUI applications.
- Design machine vision algorithms for product quality inspection, process control, and manufacturing automation.
- Knowledge in deep learning-based vision solutions.
- Make decisions in ordering, building, and maintaining PCs and PC based GUI software.
- Configure vision systems (host PC, frame grabbers, cameras, illumination, motion control, interfaces, etc.).
- Analyze project requirements Design, develop and test the multitasking Windows desktop applications for industrial equipment.
- Understand and interface with third party embedded controllers using their APIs
- Optimize existing software to improve the performance and fix bugs.
- Provide technical support for the field.
- Degree in Computer Engineering / Electronics Engineering or equivalent
- 3 - 5 years experience in vision and developing windows applications for industrial automation equipment using C#, WPF and .NET Framework
- Good understanding in TCP/IP, RS-232, Camera interface and any of motion controller interface protocols
