Clinical Assistant – Physician Extender in Pediatric Care
Job summary
A regional healthcare authority in Manitoba is seeking a motivated Clinical Assistant for a temporary position at the Menzies Medical Centre in Morden. The role involves supporting physicians in taking medical histories, performing exams, and providing patient education, particularly in pediatric care. Candidates must be graduates from an accredited Medical School or Physician Assistant Program, registered with the province's College, and have a good attendance record with at least a year of pediatric care experience.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized Medical School or Physician Assistant Program eligible for national certification.
- Must have at least one year of experience in pediatric care.
- Subject to Criminal Record Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check.
Responsibilities
- Take medical histories and perform physical exams.
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Provide patient education and counselling.
