General Practitioner in Oncology (GPO) Cancer Care Alberta (CCA), Integrated Cancer Diagnosis & Intake Initiative
Cancer Care Alberta (CCA) invites applications for General Practitioner in Oncology (GPO) roles to join a new initiative supporting cancer diagnosis and intake activities.
GPOs will act as Most Responsible Providers (MRPs) during the diagnostic and cancer intake phase, guiding patients through clinical assessments, coordinating tests, and helping patients to prepare for consultations with oncology specialists. Activities include both clinical services and program development responsibilities.
MD (Family or Internal Medicine); eligible for CPSA licensure for independent practice. Previous experience in Oncology related roles is an asset. Skills in the process of triage, virtual care, and use and development of standardized protocols, and familiarity with Connect Care and quality improvement are an asset.
