Lead the future of cardiovascular care as the VP/Practice Executive for Ascension Saint Thomas Heart, where you’ll shape strategy, drive operational excellence, and ensure top-tier patient experiences across a high-performing physician practice network. This pivotal role blends visionary leadership with hands-on execution to deliver destination-level service in a nationally recognized heart program.

In partnership with the Physician Service Line leadership and Executive Committee, the Practice Executive formulates and oversees the operational, strategic, and financial performance of Ascension Saint Thomas Heart (AST Heart) to provide destination-level service with the highest quality cardiovascular care available.

1. Lead all aspects of operational, financial, and strategic performance of the physician practice and its network of locations in partnership with Service Line leadership.
2. Create the work environment and operating system necessary to enable destination-level service for all consumers experiencing AST Heart.
3. Develop and implement policies, programs, long-range financial planning, and marketing strategies to meet operational, strategic, and financial goals.
4. Manage and lead strategic, administrative, operational, and financial initiatives for the physician practice and its locations.
5. Develop and implement service standards and operating systems to enhance physician services and practice effectiveness.
6. Track, analyze, and report relevant data and metrics; proactively implement improvements as needed.
7. Analyze systems and procedures to recommend and lead improvements to workflow, efficiency, and satisfaction among patients and referring physicians.
8. Serve as liaison between Service Line Executive Committee, hospital, medical group, health system leadership, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies.
9. Manage recruitment, development, and supervision of team members; foster an engaging environment; set objectives aligned with organizational goals; coach and evaluate performance.
10. Participate as a member of the Executive Committee to ensure integration into the system’s strategic and operational plans.
11. Manage existing physician employment contracts and professional services agreements, balancing ambulatory and procedural access to ensure timely care.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree with 7 years of relevant experience, including 4 years in leadership/management.

• Master’s degree with at least 5 years of progressive leadership experience (Director level or above).
