Now, we’re looking for a Carbody Structure Design Lead to join our team in St-Bruno-de-Montarville. If you’re passionate about mechanical design, thrive in a collaborative environment, and want to make a real impact—you might be the one we’re looking for.

As a Design Lead, you’ll be at the heart of our carbody structure development for a major project. You’ll ensure design coherence, align with best practices and architectural guidelines, and drive the successful delivery of high-quality, on-time designs. You’ll collaborate daily with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and project management team to bring innovative rail vehicles to life.

You’ll specifically take care of

• Supporting the CBS MLE (Car Body Shell Mechanical Lead Engineer) in planning, coordinating and reporting on design activities and related deliverables
• Designing products aligned with project, platform and industrial requirements
• Monitoring the progression of the CBS detail design and space allocations
• Designing CBS general concepts and space allocations during the project launch phase

• Ensuring project Mechanical Domain activities comply with QCD (Quality Cost Delivery) commitments
• Guaranteeing product performance, manufacturability, serviceability and testability
• Supporting Sourcing, Industrialization and Manufacturing teams during Production ramp-up
• Defining and implementing mitigation plans
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of the CBS domain

• Mechanical Engineering Degree or technical degree with pertinent experience, with an interest in project management
• Proficiency in mechanical design using Catia V5 or equivalent
• Familiarity with welded structures and geometric tolerancing
• Exposure to manufacturing environments
• Strong problem-solving and computer skills
• Proficiency in both French and English
• Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
