• Provides advisoryservices and advice to farmers on planting and fertilizing,harvesting, livestock and poultry care, disease prevention,farm management, farm finance, marketing and other Otheragricultural topics.
• Prepare and deliveradvisory meetings and conferences for farmers and othergroups.
• Conduct research,analyze agricultural data and prepare research reports.
• Liaise withgovernment or corporate researchers, educators andmanagers on agricultural and farming issues
• Keep a record of theservices provided and the effect of advice given.
• Agriculturalrepresentatives, consultants and experts can specialize inspecific aspects of agriculture such as animal science, fieldcrops, horticulture, soil science, irrigation or drainage, sitemanagement farming, marketing, agribusiness, land use andenvironmental management, assessment or extension, andeducation.

• Bachelor’s degreein agriculture or a related field.
• Additional trainingand experience may be preferred.
• Additionalcertifications may be required.
• Valid andtravel-ready driver’s license.
• Ability to workoutdoors, standing, walking, kneeling and stooping for longperiods of time.
• Proficient in usingcomputers, especially MS Office and scientific diagnosticsoftware.
• Outstanding activeoral and written listening and communicationskills.
• Strong research,decision-making, critical thinking and problem-solvingskills.
• Knowledge of industrytrends, technologies and developments.
• Sales andpresentation skills.

Salary: $36.06 - $62.50 per hour
