Process Engineer (Full Time) - Mississauga, ON

Major Responsibilities of Position:

This position performs process engineering in support of engineering projects and proposals. Reporting to the Senior Engineer Consultant, this individual is responsible for activities associated with project scope, as outlined below:

• P&ID Preparation for Proposal / Project
• Preparation of Process Safety Review EDM
• Preparation of Process EDM for small ops project
• Collection of i-Historian Data for various brown field proposals
• Preparation of Automatic valve spec sht & ordering
• Basic Process simulation for various small operations proposal
• Inhouse Tool Developments for bringing productivity to the department
• Interpretation of various design Codes and Standards and verifying the design to ensure compliance.
• Sizing of Safety Valves, Relief header sizing and Documentation of design basis.
• Completion of Design Safety Checklists
• Writing operating manual.
• Documentation of Process Control Narrative and preparation of Control Item Summary.
• Travel to plant site and performing plant startup.
• Initial performance evaluation of Process and Equipment’s & Documenting the results.

Job Related Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
• 2-10 years experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to meet scheduled deadlines
• Ability to manage changes
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to support project tasks
• Licensed (PEO) Professional Engineer or eligible EIT
