We are looking for an outstanding interventional neuroradiologist to join our team of 4 interventional and 6 diagnostic neuroradiologists, playing a pivotal role in the provision of a service to a population of 1.8 million. While the focus is interventional work, you will have a strong and integrated diagnostic component to your practice.

The Trust recently launched a 7-day-a-week service and is planning expansion to 24/7 within the next year. This new post is pivotal to futureproofing the service and supporting its expansion. If you have additional subspecialty interests within neuroradiology, your expertise and passion will be embraced and integrated into our team.

Location: A brand-new hospital, in the vibrant city of Brighton, set between the beautiful countryside of the South Downs and the seaside.

Collaboration: We have strong ties with radiology and neurosciences, delivering a wide range of neuroradiology services to various specialties.

• Collaborate with a team of five Consultant Diagnostic Neuroradiologists and four Consultant Interventional Neuroradiologists.
• Serve a population of 1.6 million with tertiary level neuroradiology services.
• Contribute to comprehensive diagnostic neuroradiology services.
• Duties include reporting, prioritisation of imaging requests, clinical‑radiological meetings, and on‑call services.
• Active participation in the general diagnostic neuroradiology service (1:6 ratio).
• Engage in audit, teaching, research, MDT meetings.
• Welcome additional subspecialty interests.
• Join various multidisciplinary teams and clinical meetings.
• Share on‑call commitment equally with existing consultants.

• Completion of FRCR or equivalent at time of application and subspecialty training in Neuroradiology.
• Full GMC registration (or equivalent) and eligibility for a licence to practice.
• Dedicated interventional neuroradiology training.
• A patient‑centred approach, excellent clinical skills, and a passion for teaching and research.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice.
• CCT in Radiology or equivalent (equivalence must be confirmed by GMC by date of AAC).
• Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the AAC.
• Higher Degree.
• Distinctions, scholarships, prizes, other degrees e.g. BSc, MSc, MS.

• Neuroradiology subspecialty training in Cross‑Sectional reporting.
• Experience of reporting complex neuroimaging.
• Understanding of clinical risk management.
• An ability to communicate well with patients and staff.
• Experience in head & neck cross‑sectional reporting.
• Experience in advanced neuroimaging techniques and/or working in close collaboration with a tertiary neurosciences unit.

• Breadth of experience in and outside specialty.

• Experience and ability to work in multi‑professional teams.
• Understanding of: NHS / Clinical governance / Resource constraints.
• Evidence of managerial skills: achievements / courses attended.

• Evidence of an interest and commitment to teaching.
• Recognised teaching qualification e.g. PGCert Med Ed.

• Evidence of participation in audit.
• Research experience.
• Publications.
• Prizes and honours.

• Appropriate progression of career to date.
• Evidence of good communication skills both oral and written.
