L'ingénieur Méthode Outillage sera responsable pour l’organisation du synoptique du projet. Cela signifie qu'il sera chargé de collecter les informations du site, du centre d’excellence (CoE) et du chef de projet ingénierie afin de définir les outils de montage et de maintenance selon la procédure appropriée.
Tooling method engineer will take the responsibility on project to organize the synopsis task. It means he will be in charge to collect the information from site, COE, SI, in order to imagine the tools to do the erection and maintenance operation according to the relevant procedure. He will have to perform some design and calculation notes for some of the tooling he will have defined by following a structured design process.

• Collecte des informations du site / chef de projet Ingénierie / logistique / COE pour préparer le synoptique.
• Concevoir les notices de montage et de maintenance selon la procédure (effectuée par l'équipe du site) en utilisant autant que possible les outils standards et selon les règles EHS.
• Concevoir avec l’aide du COE tooling, le design des outils spécifiques.
• Identifier les besoins d'accès sur nos machines.
• Identifier le besoin d'un emballage spécifique et le spécifier.
• Implication dans l’élaboration du plan et de la note de calcul de l'arrimage.
• Implication dans l’élaboration du plan de levage.
• Saisir la nomenclature synoptique dans le système de RPLM GE.
• Suivre les délais et le budget associés au synoptique.
• Participer, si nécessaire, aux revues de conception de l'outillage ou de la pièce elle-même, afin de respecter les exigences de l’outillage.
• Être en relation régulière avec le site pour toute question et support.
• Coordonner le synoptique avec le sous-traitant ou le technicien.
• Identifier les outils standards sur le marché.

• Baccalauréaten génie mécanique avec un minimum de 4 années d’expérience dans un poste similaire.
• Une première expérience réussie dans la conception d'équipements de levage et de plates-formes d'accès ou une expérience significative sur le terrain.
• Membre de l’Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), ou capacité d’obtenir un permis d’ingénieur dans un délai raisonnable.
• La connaissance des produits Hydro, est un plus.
• Axé sur les résultats, efficace dans l'exécution du projet ; il doit être capable de livrer les résultats dans les délais et selon les exigences du calendrier des projets.
• Doit être ouvert d'esprit, multiculturel et doit être capable de travailler efficacement avec différentes équipes.
• Anglais et français courant écrit et parlé: L'employé(e) sera amené(e) à interagir de manière fluide avec des collègues de nos autres installations à travers et/ou à l'extérieur du Canada, et qui sont généralement incapables de communiquer en français et dont la langue de travail est principalement l'anglais.
• Maîtriser les logiciels de CAO tels que Autocad, Solidworks.

• Collecting the information from site / Project Engineering Manager / logistics / Center of excellence to prepare the synopsis.
• Imagining the erection and maintenance operation according to the procedure (done by site team) with the objective to use as much as possible standard tools and according to the EHS rules.
• Designing specific tools (3D, calculation note, fabrication drawings, instruction manuals)
• Identifying the need of access on our machine.
• Identifying the need of specific packing and specifying it.
• Preparing the lashing drawing and the lashing calculation note.
• Preparing the lifting drawing.
• Pushing the synopsis BOM in the GE product life management system.
• Following the synopsis associated budget and On Time Delivery.
• Participating when required to the design of the tool or of the piece itself, in order to make implemented the tooling requirement.
• Being the entry point for site team for any request of support.
• Coordinating the synopsis task with sub-contractor or technician.
• Identifying on market standard tools.

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years in similar role.
• Successful initial experience in design of lifting equipment and access platform or significant experience on site.
• Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), or ability to obtain an engineering permit in a reasonable time.
• Knowledge of Hydro products, is a plus.
• Result oriented, drive efficiency in execution; shall be able to deliver the outcome on time & as per schedule requirement of projects.
• Shall be open minded, multicultural & shall be able to work efficiently with cross regional team of respective COEs.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and French: The employee will be required to interact fluidly with colleagues in our other facilities across and/or outside of Canada, and who are generally unable to communicate in French and whose language at work is predominantly English.
• Good knowledge of CAO software like Autocad, Solidworks.
