Job summary
A community organization in Edmonton seeks volunteers to teach English to newcomers and refugees. This role offers both in-person and remote options, providing opportunities to empower individuals in their new home. Volunteers will receive training, materials, and support, making a meaningful impact in the community while gaining valuable experience. Commitment of at least 6 months and a passion for helping others are essential.

- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ready to teach a 2 or 3-hour class a week or substitute teach 2-4 times a month.
- Able to commit for a minimum of 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Empower refugees and newcomers with language skills.
- Follow pre-planned lessons and curriculum.
- Foster a supportive community for newcomers.

Certification or Education Required
