A community organization in Edmonton seeks volunteers to teach English to newcomers and refugees. This role offers both in-person and remote options, providing opportunities to empower individuals in their new home. Volunteers will receive training, materials, and support, making a meaningful impact in the community while gaining valuable experience. Certification or Education Required
Fluency in EnglishBasic computer skills ( to access materials on our website, use online programs in the class as part of the lesson ...)Ready to teach a 2 or 3 hour class a week (or substitute teach 2-4 times a month)Able to commit for minimum 6 monthsFamiliar with good volunteer practicesCandidates must be 18 years of age or older
