Job type: Full-time. Pay: $25–$40 per hour. Location: Jasper, AB. This project-based position is up to two years in duration. Relocation assistance is not offered.
Scott Builders Inc. is a leading Design-Build Construction Management firm established in 1971, offering a single point of contact for every phase of a project. We require an energetic, motivated, and highly skilled Carpenter to perform general construction tasks on our multi-family project site in Jasper, AB. Candidates must be local to the Jasper, Alberta area and able to reliably commute daily to site.
We emphasize a strong safety culture and expect adherence to our safety practices and programs.
- Perform general construction tasks on a multi-family project site in Jasper, AB.
- Read and interpret building plans/blueprints; prepare layouts in accordance with building codes and project timelines.
- Operate a variety of heavy equipment as required and with appropriate certifications.
- Collaborate effectively in a team environment and support project milestones.
- Commit to safety practices and participate in the company safety program.
- Previous commercial construction experience with a solid understanding of building codes.
- Carpenter trade certification preferred; will consider registered apprentices.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment with appropriate certification tickets.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Fall Protection certification would be an asset.
- Ability to take and follow directions in a team setting.
- Commitment to providing strong customer service.
- Must be able to pass a physical assessment and drug/alcohol testing as required for pre-access.
