Job description
Overview

Job title: Red Seal Carpenter

Location: Moncton, NB

Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm

Wage: $20.00/hour-$23.00/hour

Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and codes; perform layout and material calculations
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install framing, floors, walls, roofs, trim, doors, and windows
  • Renovate, repair, and maintain structural components; inspect work and document findings
  • Operate and maintain hand and power tools, equipment, scaffolding, and lifting devices
  • Mentor apprentices and support crew coordination on site
  • Promote and enforce workplace safety, use PPE, and perform jobsite hazard assessments
Qualifications
  • Valid Red Seal Carpentry certification
  • Completion of a 3- to 4-year apprenticeship or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency with blueprints, building codes, and construction math (metric/imperial)
  • Skilled in hand and power tool operation and related equipment
  • Strong physical fitness: able to lift approximately 50 lb, work at heights, and adapt to varied environments
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
  • Valid driver's license for travel to multiple job sites
