Job Title: Framer/Carpenter

Salary: $46.23 per hour

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

Start Date: As soon as possible

Work Conditions: Early morning, day, evening, weekend

Major Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret plans, illustrations and sketches to determine specifications and needs.
  • Prepare formats in conformance to building regulations; use gauging tools.
  • Cut, shape, construct and join materials made of wood, timber alternatives, lightweight steel and other products.
  • Build structures; set up flooring light beams; lay subflooring; install walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
  • Maintain, repair and refurbish residences and wooden frameworks in mills, mines, hospitals, plants and other establishments.

Qualifications:

  • Language: English
  • Education: No formal level, certification or diploma required
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
  • Tools/Equipment: Own steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles
  • Transportation/Travel: Own transportation; willing to travel and able to go on trips
  • Physical/Job Capacities: Able to work with large workloads; bending, crouching, stooping; standing and walking; occasional lifting; overtime; able to manage heavy loads
