Summary

The Strategy & Planning Procurement Assistant Manager assists the Procurement Manager with establishing supplier pools, operating strategy, and managing business plans, budgets, purchasing policies/standards, and procurement center staff. Preference for candidates who can speak Korean fluently. This role will work for the MOBIS Procurement Center (U.S., Mexico, Brazil plants).

ABOUT MOBIS NORTH AMERICA ELECTRIFIED POWERTRAIN, LLC

MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain LLC (MNAe) is a Tier 1 supplier of BSA and PE systems, vital components for electric vehicle production, utilizing state-of-the-art manufacturing technology related to battery system assembly.

Essential Functions (To perform successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)

[Procurement Strategy]

• Improve and manage bidding systems (MSAPTURN), RFQ, standard/initial contracts
• Manage supply chain, including establishing purchasing strategies and evaluating supplier operations with appropriate sanctions/regulations
• Expand and develop the supplier pool
• Manage raw materials prices

[Procurement Planning]

• Organize and manage Human Resources/Procurement Center
• Handle business plan management and respond to HQ conference data
• Conduct business planning, including data collection, analysis, and presentations for HQ reports
• Manage investment, budgets, and forecasts
• Provide procurement/purchasing system and SOP training for local employees
• Handle approval requests and requisitions for indirect parts (Mobis Alabama, Georgia, Savannah plants)

Basic Qualifications

The following are the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry-specific experience
• At least 3 years of procurement experience within the manufacturing/automotive industry
• Experience working with Hyundai, Kia, or MOBIS
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial System Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in automotive assembly/manufacturing

Additional Qualifications:

• Strong sense of responsibility
• Knowledge of the Just-In-Sequence process in automotive manufacturing
• Korean language skills are a plus for communication with Korean headquarters
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Experience in procurement and various manufacturing processes (injection, press, welding, paint, assembly)
