Job summary
A governmental advisory body in Ontario is seeking an Interim Lands & Estates Consultant to provide short-term advisory support to the Lands Department. The role involves mentoring staff, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and offering strategic advice on land transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience in land governance and community engagement. This temporary position focuses on providing guidance and capacity-building within the department, ensuring the continuity of operations. Applications are due by January 8th, 2026.
Qualifications
- Experience in land and estate governance.
- Knowledge of Alderville First Nation policies and federal legislation.
- Strong mentoring and community engagement skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide advisory support for land and estate matters.
- Mentor Lands & Estates staff in their duties.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
- Assist in developing Alderville's Land Use Plan.
- Facilitate communication and community engagement.
